Republic's $19.7M profit triggers payouts to workers, retiree trust

A strong nine-month financial performance by Republic Engineered Products Inc., Fairlawn, Ohio, resulted in the distribution of more than $1 million in profit-sharing payments to its employees Nov. 15.

The profit-sharing payouts were a provision of Republic's labor contract with the United Steelworkers union and a separate profit-sharing plan for salaried employees.....
