Randgold Resources Ltd. is the latest possible suitor for Canadian miner Iamgold Corp., but prospects for a marriage appear remote.
Iamgold's search for a partner has been complicated after shareholders of South African miner Gold Fields Ltd. last week rejected a proposed merger with the Toronto-based miner, possibly paving the way for a hostile bid for Gold Fields from fellow South African miner Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd.....
