Gerdau to decide on iron mining plans in '05

Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau SA will decide in 2005 whether to move into commercial iron ore mining following studies of deposits it acquired a year ago, according to Jorge Gerdau Johannpeter, group president.
He declined to disclose whether Gerdau would sell a portion of the output to the export market in addition to feeding its own Brazilian steelmaking operations.....
