Worthington's profits triple on 38% sales rise

Steel processor and manufacturer Worthington Industries Inc., Columbus, Ohio, posted net income of more than $47.6 million in its fiscal second quarter, almost triple those of a year earlier, on sales that climbed 38 percent to $745.2 million.
Executives said the record results were matched by six-month income of nearly $105.5 million, almost five times earnings a year earlier, on a 45.9-percent increase in sales to $1.51 billion.....
