Doe Run upbeat on La Oroya environment deal

Doe Run Co., St. Louis, said it is confident it can reach an agreement with the Peruvian government over its environmental obligations.
The lead producer said that negotiations with the government are progressing as it seeks a five-year extension to allow it time to complete a sulfuric acid plant at the La Oroya complex in Peru. Doe Run had said in February that it would seek revisions to its environmental operating....
