Long-term deal puts fabricator on growth track

Genzink Steel Corp. has been awarded a new steel fabrication contract that, combined with a few smaller projects, will create up to 30 new jobs at the Holland, Mich., company.
Ken Genzink, president and chief executive officer, said Joy Mining Machinery Co., Warrendale, Pa., has hired his company for a multiyear project providing fabricated steel for the construction of 24,000-pound coal shuttle cars.
The company expects to produce fabricated steel for between 156 and 260 coal shuttle cars during the length of the project, or about one per week. The value of the project is $9 million in the first three years, rising to $15 million if the project runs a full five years.....
