Aluminum scrap exports surge in Oct.

U.S. exports of aluminum scrap surged in October, passing the 70,000-short-ton mark for the first time, as China posted its first monthly intake in excess of 35,000 tons.

In the first 10 months of the year, China (including Hong Kong) took 284,696 tons, a 20.4-percent increase from 236,389 tons in the same period last year.....
