Jiangxi Copper eyeing 300,000T/year smelter

China's leading copper producer, Jiangxi Copper Co. Ltd., is considering building a 300,000-tonne-a-year copper smelter that would nearly double the company's current production capacity.
"It is in our planning and under our consideration at the moment," a senior executive at Jiangxi Copper said, adding that the plan has not yet been approved or even discussed by the company's board.....
