Financier Wilbur L. Ross reportedly has pulled out of talks aimed at acquiring Japan's Mitsui Mining Co. Ltd. and will look elsewhere to add to his growing mining holdings.
Mitsui Mining, a coke producer, is up for auction in Japan following an accumulation of debt by Mitsui Coal Mining, one of its subsidiary companies. Ross was among a number of bidders interested in acquiring the 52-percent stake in Mitsui Mining currently held by Industrial Revitalization Corp. of....
