Nickel exports on a run despite Oct. dip

U.S. exports of nickel scrap dropped in October for the second month in a row, but the overall pace remained well ahead of year-earlier levels despite rising prices.

Shipments of U.S.-generated nickel scrap to foreign consumers totaled 2,448 short tons in October, down 5.3 percent from 2,584 tons the previous month, according to the latest statistics from the Commerce Department.
