Coating line keeps steel pipe rolling into Little Rock from NOLA

So Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd. hasn't yet started up its spiral weld pipe mill in Little Rock, Ark.
But that doesn't mean the city's port isn't already rocking and rolling thanks to the coating line that's already up and running.
The Indian steelmaker has been shipping in raw pipe by barge or train, coating it, and then sending the product to customers via rail or truck, Little Rock Port Authority Executive Director Paul Latture said. Once Welspun gets it's spiral weld mill going, the port will not only be shipping out finished pipe but also bringing in flat-rolled coil for substrate.....
