The West Coast market for structural steel tubing continued to reel from a price cut of more than $200 per ton by one of North America's largest producers.
Buyers said they were notified last week by Atlas Tube Inc., Harrow, Ontario, that it had slashed prices by what they estimated was a range of $200-plus per ton to $260 per ton. "I don't know anyone who saw this coming," a market veteran said, describing....
