Distributor JD Fields to combine three facilities at new 40-acre site

Steel piling and carbon steel pipe distributor JD Fields & Co. Inc. has spent $4 million to buy a 40-acre site at which it will combine three operations into one.
JD Fields will immediately begin moving 60,000 tons of tubulars to the new site, Jay Fields, the Houston-based company's president, said, adding that his company sells mostly line pipe and construction products like H-bearing piles and sheet piling.....
