Baosteel boosts 300-series stainless prices as costs rise

Baosteel Stainless Steel Material Co. Ltd. has raised its ex-works prices on 300-series stainless steel by 1,400 to 1,800 yuan ($207 to $266) per tonne for August, citing rising raw material costs.

Baosteel Stainless, part of Baosteel Group Corp., is now selling Grade 304 2B cold-rolled coil at 22,800 yuan ($3,366) per tonne, up 1,800 yuan from July. "We raised the price mainly due to....
