Shougang exec eyes sentence appeal

Tan Yixin, general manager of the import department at Shougang Group in Beijing, might be appealing his sentence in the Chinese trade secrets case linked to Rio Tinto after recently being handed 3½ years' jail time and a $44,000 fine.

"Tan Yixin's case has been moved to China's supreme court," according to an official at Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court, which has been handling the case.....
