Lakeside to hike ERW production

Canada's Lakeside Steel Inc. plans to increase production in January with the addition of a production shift on its electric-resistance weld (ERW) 2- to 8-inch mill to meet increased demand.

Up to 38 employees who were temporarily laid off will be recalled as a result, the Welland, Ontario-based tubular maker said. It had discussed the possibility of a production increase after releasing its quarterly financial results last month.....
