Maybe the Ivory Tower and Main Street are finally beginning to agree on what the future may hold for steel.
A number of financial analysts have recently been feeling bullish on steel, energy and, in particular, energy-related tubulars.
But Perspectives often feels like we're talking to people in parallel but very different universes whenever we speak with someone who is actually in the steel business about what folks in the financial community are predicting.
(Simply put, it often seems to us that Wall Streeters must be getting a dose of optimism with their morning coffee that folks on Main Street aren't getting.)
Still, that Main Street pessimism may beand may is the key word hereabout to change.
As most reasonable people agree, when it comes to the economy, it's all about jobs, jobs, jobs. So we figured we'd touch base again with steel pipe and tube employment guru Stan Hendricks, aka "the tube recruiter."....
