China's Shanxi NPI smelters told to immediately shut down

Nickel pig iron (NPI) smelters in northern China's Shanxi province have been ordered to shut for at least one month to save energy and meet the Chinese central government's emissions targets, sources said.
"Most producers in Shanxi's Linfen and Luliang areas have received the shutdown notice from the local government to close their smelters at once, for at least one month," Shanghai analyst Wang Chunhong said, adding that the Shuozhou, Hejin and Taiyuan regions will....
