Idled steel mills in China receive restart notices

Several steel mills have been allowed to restart production in Wu'an city in the top steelmaking province of Hebei in northern China, according to market sources.
Various steel mills—including Puyang Steel & Iron Co. Ltd., Wenfeng Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., Xinjin Steel Co. Ltd. and Yuhua Steel & Iron Co. Ltd.—received separate notices that will allow them to restart blast furnaces larger than 450 cubic meters—around 600,000 tonnes of annual crude steel capacity,....
