Mudslides force Zijin to halt Yinyan tin mine operations

Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd. has suspended its Yinyan tin mine in China's southern coastal Guangdong province after the tailings dam collapsed due to mud and rock slides triggered by Typhoon Fanapi.
The dam fell at about 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, according to Zijin Mining. The Yinyan tin operation in Xinyi city is capable of processing 3,000 tonnes per day of tin ore and was launched barely three....
