Sales in the heavy equipment industry will be more dependent on actual demand next year than on inventory rebuilding, according to Eli Lustgarten, senior vice president and senior analyst at Longbow Research.
The good news is there is support for an increase in farm implement sales based on stronger corn, wheat and soybean prices, support for mining equipment due to expected steady or rising raw material commodity pricing and support for truck sales based on environmental regulations on new engines.....
