Strike authorized by union at 5 Russel Metals centers in British Columbia

Russel Metals Inc. executives are bracing for a strike by workers at its metals service center operations in British Columbia following a vote by unionized employees at five of its units.
United Steelworkers union members at five of the Toronto=based company's A.J. Forsyth operations in British Columbia have voted 99.8 percent in favor of a strike, if necessary, to back their bargaining committee's contract demands.
Steve Dewell, a USW staff representative, said workers at A.J. Forsyth's service centers in Delta, Kelowna, Prince George, Campbell River and Nanaimo, British Columbia, are poised to strike to get the company to remove its demands for contract concessions.....
