CMC expects ferrous scrap tags to rise in ’11

Ferrous scrap prices are expected to rise in November, drop in December and then rise again next year, according to Commercial Metals Co. chairman, president and chief executive officer Murray R. McClean.
"It will not be a big jump," he said in a conference call following the release of the company's results for its fiscal fourth quarter ended Aug. 31. McClean said he expects obsolete ferrous scrap prices to rise by $20 per ton. ....
