Fighting to go green
Steve Levetan, senior vice president of Atlanta used auto parts retailer Pull-A-Part LLC, has been elected chairman of the Sandy Springs Conservancy, an environmental group working to preserve parks and green space in Sandy Springs, Ga. Levetan is a former executive of Dixie Iron & Metal Co., an Atlanta scrap metals processor acquired by Mindis Recycling Inc. In addition to his work in the scrap metals and used auto parts industries, Levetan also has served as an environmental consultant and lobbyist with states, counties and municipalities throughout....
