Schuff’s earnings sink 96 percent in quarter on construction slump

Schuff International Inc.'s net income plunged 96 percent in its fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 3, with the company citing lower revenue and thin margins due to the continued construction sector downturn.

Quarterly net income of $296,000 fell from $7.8 million in the same three-month span last year on revenue that declined 38.6 percent to just shy of $66 million from $107.4 million.....
