Mill-grade aluminum scrap tags ease

Mill-grade aluminum scrap prices were under slight pressure this week as mills pulled out of the market for key items.

Prices for segregated low copper alloy clips, mixed low copper alloy clips and painted siding fell a few pennies from last week, but otherwise held steady as fluctuations on the London Metal Exchange remained within existing price ranges, mill buyers and scrap traders told AMM.

Prices for segregated low copper alloy clips (5052) slipped to between $1 and $1.03 cents per pound compared with a $1- to $1.05-cent-per-pound range last week. Mixed low copper alloys clips fell to between 85 and 88 cents per pound from 85 to 89 cents and painted siding eased to between 82 and 84 cents per pound this week from 82 to 85 cents last week.....
