Justice awards $6.3M in auto title tracking system grants

The U.S. Justice Department has awarded nearly $6.3 million to five states, the District of Columbia and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) to implement the federal government's auto title tracking system.
The District of Columbia, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas and Oregon will receive up to $100,000 each to assist with their participation in the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS). AAMVA will receive $5.7 million to support....
