Minnesota recyclers might have an ear in the state senate after one of their own landed a seat.
Tired of what he saw in the political arena, a fourth-generation recycler took on the Democrat incumbent and became the second-youngest person elected to Minnesota's state senate.
Jeremy Miller, the 27-year-old chief financial officer of Winona-based Wm. Miller Scrap Iron & Metal Co., will be sworn in to his new duties on Jan. 4.
"The reason I ran is just like many other people across the state and country I was extremely fed up and frustrated and worried about the direction our government was taking us. I thought it was time to take action," Miller said.....
