Massey starts construction on $65M met coal facility

Massey Energy Co. has begun construction on a $65-million West Virginia metallurgical coal processing plant that's due to come online in the third quarter of 2011.
The Pineville Processing Plant, part of the company's Marianna property in Wyoming County, W.Va., will have two 10,000-ton clean coal silos and a 25,000-ton raw coal stockpile area. It will be capable of processing 700 tons per hour, according to Massey. ....
