Bermco plans to double smelter capacity

Secondary aluminum smelter Bermco Aluminum is planning to double its production capacity to 20 million pounds per month in the second quarter of 2012.
The Birmingham, Ala.-based company has signed a contract to buy a 100,000-square-foot facility located on a 20-acre site in Lincoln, Ala. Construction is slated to start in mid-2011, subject to regulatory and financial....
