MSC dismisses acceptability issues involving its tin output

Malaysia Smelting Corp. Bhd (MSC) has rejected suggestions that new ethical stipulations to ensure conflict-free tin will affect the acceptability of its output, which is sourced partially from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
"Tin production from DRC constitutes less than 5 percent of the current world production of tin and less than 15 percent of MSC tin production in 2009," Chua Cheong Yong, the company's chief executive officer, said in a....
