Railroads file suit vs. ship scrapper Acme

Conrail Inc. and the Norfolk Southern Railway Co. have filed a lawsuit against an Akron, Ohio, scrap processor in an effort to recover funds the two rail companies had to pay to clean up a site along the Ashtabula River where the scrap company dismantled ships.
In a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the rail carriers are asking the court to order the scrap processor to pay the portion of the pollution cleanup costs they already paid and to require it to share any additional costs.....
