Auto recyclers sue AK Steel, Tube City

Three Middletown, Ohio, auto salvagers are suing AK Steel Corp. and Tube City IMS LLC, alleging that the producer and the mill service provider are violating the federal Clean Air Act and damaging their facilities.
The plaintiffs—Auto Recyclers of Middletown Inc., R&B Auto Salvage Inc. and Pull UR Part LLC, all located on Oxford Street—filed the lawsuit in Ohio Southern District Court in Cincinnati.
The salvagers contend that the two parties are illegally emitting dust from a slag facility also located on Oxford Street. Tube City operates a slag dumping, cooling, handling and processing facility that exclusively receives its slag from West Chester, Ohio-based AK Steel.....
