AK Steel cuts most stainless extras

AK Steel Corp. is lowering surcharges on most of its stainless and electrical steel products in January, in step with softer nickel prices in November.

The steelmaker said that beginning Jan. 2, 2011, its surcharges will be $1.0988 per pound for Type 304 products, down 2.6 percent from $1.1281....
