Codelco cancels Minmetals projects

Corporacion Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco) doesn't plan to develop copper exploration projects with China Minmetals Corp. over the next few years as it needs to focus on its major structural expansion projects in Chile.
Although there is "an intention to jointly do something if an opportunity arises," at the moment there is no concrete project between the companies, Diego Hernández, chief executive officer of the Chilean state-owned copper miner, said after meeting Minmetals president Zhou Zhongshu in Santiago, Chile.....
