Metalico, two others to pay $75,355 in environment fines

Metalico Inc. and two Ohio companies have agreed to pay $75,355 in environmental penalties to resolve alleged solid waste and air pollution violations at a Youngstown scrapyard.
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) and the state attorney general signed a consent order with Metalico Youngstown Inc., which operates the yard and its shredder.
Other signatories to the settlement include Youngstown Iron & Metal Inc., the recycling facility's operator until 2009, and WWW Land Inc., the property's owner until 2010.....
