Massey rewards Blankenship with $12M severance package

Don Blankenship, the outgoing chairman and chief executive officer of Massey Energy Co., is to receive a $12-million severance package as part of his retirement later this month, according to a regulatory filing.
In addition to the $12 million in cash, to be paid in two installments, Blankenship is to receive two years of health insurance, according to the filing.....
