Ball Corp. in deal to acquire European packaging plants

Ball Corp. has agreed to buy European aerosol container producer Aerocan S.A.S. for about $293 million as the company looks to grow its overseas aluminum packaging business.
"Acquiring Aerocan, like the purchase of Neuman Aluminum earlier this year, is aligned with our strategy of expanding our product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities while leveraging our extensive operational expertise in our global metal packaging businesses," John A. Hayes, president and chief operating officer, said in a statement. ....
