Limit ferrous scrap embargoes execs

Two U.S. steel industry representatives urged steelmakers from the world's largest industrial countries to discourage embargoes on ferrous scrap exports and look to the United States as a model of how the ferrous scrap market should work.
In a presentation to the steel committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, Thomas Danjczek, president of the Steel Manufacturers Association, and Alan Price, president of the American Scrap Coalition, said 20 countries have imposed some form of restrictions—including taxes, quotas and outright bans—on scrap exports.....
