Logan Aluminum settles EPA charges for $285,000

Logan Aluminum Inc. has agreed to pay a $285,000 penalty to settle alleged violations of the Clean Air Act.
Federal authorities said the Russellville, Ky.-based company had been in violation of environmental statutes regulating hazardous air pollutants for secondary aluminum production.
Under the terms of a consent decree, Logan agreed to pay a civil penalty of $285,000 and install a baghouse for a remelt furnace at its secondary aluminum facility in Russellville.....
