Molycorp gearing to break ground on rare earths plant

Molycorp Inc. has completed permitting required to start construction on a rare earths manufacturing facility at its Mountain Pass, Calif., mine aimed at increasing production by 535 percent.
The project secured a streambed-alteration agreement from the California Department of Fish and Game, and the company has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for Jan. 2. ....
