Schnitzer in deal to acquire Canada's Selkirk Recovery

Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. continued its recent buying spree Wednesday, announcing a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all the assets of Selkirk Recovery Inc., the parent company of Duncan, British Columbia-based Steel Pacific Recycling.
The proposed acquisition of Steel Pacific was the second announced by Schnitzer in as many days. On Tuesday, its disclosed plans to acquire Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia (AMM, Dec. 15).....
