Marmon/Keystone launches new value-added division

Marmon/Keystone LLC has created a brand-new division called Marmon/Keystone VA Services.

The new unit, which will handle value-added processing, parts manufacturing and pre-assembly kit production, is being launched Jan. 3 to take advantage of widening opportunities to promote business activity among members of its broad customer base while capitalizing on its own supply expertise.

Tom Brenneis, a 37-year veteran of the North American distributor of carbon and alloy steel and nonferrous bar, pipe and tubing company, has been picked to direct the new group.

"We took an existing group, started in 1997, and are making it into a separate group," Brenneis said in an interview with AMM. It will be a separate profit center from the distribution company. Although the unit has established annual sales goals, he declined to divulge them.....
