Alloys pinched by inventory clearing

Secondary low-copper aluminum alloy tags came under pressure this week after some producers cleared inventory and others cited lower production costs.
A move by some producers to drop prices put low-copper alloys like A413.1 in a range of $1.18 to $1.22 per pound, down from last week's $1.20- to $1.22-per-pound range.
In what was a rather quiet week of sales, producers and traders said most of the transactions that did occur on A413.1 and A3601.1 were at $1.18 to $1.20 per pound, with only a few claiming sales at the $1.22 price.
Prices for 356.1 also slipped 2 cents to between $1.20 and $1.23 per pound from $1.22 to $1.24 last week.....
