Severstal US mill sale plans ebb as Indian growth flows

Severstal North America's plans to sell three U.S. steel plants have shown little movement, but that hasn't slowed its parent company from moving ahead with international growth plans, much to the chagrin of some U.S. constituents.

Severstal NA is attempting to sell steel plants in Warren, Ohio, and Sparrows Point, Md., as well as the West Virginia and Ohio plants of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. The company has identified bidders for those plants and remains locked in sales negotiations, according to sources familiar with the talks.....
