China logs gain in daily crude steel production

China's crude steel output picked up again in early December, rising to 1.67 million tonnes per day for the first 10 days of the month, according to China Iron and Steel Association (Cisa) estimates.

The 1.5-percent increase from the previous 10-day period was driven both by a loosening of power restrictions and mills raising production as steel prices moved higher, market sources said.....
