US helps drive China exports of stainless up, hot coil sags

China's exports and imports of steel products were mixed in November, with hot-rolled band slumping to a 2010 low while stainless jumped as mills shipped more material to the United States, Taiwan, Italy, Vietnam and India.
Chinese exports of hot-rolled coil dwindled to just 151,187 tonnes in November, according to Chinese customs data. Market jitters discouraged buyers from making new purchases that month. The figure was down 83.8 percent year on year and marked the fourth consecutive month that shipments of hot-rolled coil wider than 600 millimeters have fallen.....
