OEM battery shipments slip 1.6% in Sept., but up for year

North American shipments of original equipment automotive batteries slipped 1.6 percent in September after hitting a year-to-date high in August, according to data from the Battery Council International.

In September, 1.21 million original equipment automotive batteries were shipped, down from August's total of 1.23 million units but 9.6 percent higher than the year-earlier figure of 1.10 million units.....
