Skana Aluminum ramps up rebuilt rolling mill in Wisconsin

Skana Aluminum Co. expects to produce 5 million to 6 million pounds per month of aluminum coils at the former Koenig & Vits Inc. aluminum rolling mill in Manitowoc, Wis., according to Robert Gamba, the company's president and chief operating officer.
Skana, founded by a number of industry veterans and former Koenig & Vits employees, cast its first slab of aluminum from one of two rebuilt furnaces at the start of July. The first coil was shipped by the end of the month. To date, it has cast more than 18 million pounds.....
