Baltimore scrap dealers plead guilty in kickback scheme

Two Baltimore scrap dealers have admitted their involvement in a scheme to pay more than $100,000 in illegal kickbacks for recyclable metals from the National Security Agency (NSA).
Adam Berg, 48, and Jeffrey Harmon, 44, of Berg Bros Recycling have pleaded guilty to conspiring with an NSA employee to illegally purchase scrap metal from the agency, which is charged with protecting government information systems and collecting and analyzing foreign communications and intelligence.
Berg and Harmon paid below-market prices for agency scrap that NSA employee Robert Adcock was tasked with clearing from a storage area in Fort Meade, Md., the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement.....
